UK Caravanning
Holidays in the UK have long been popular with all ages, ranging from the very young to the elderly. Whilst camping typically appeals to the younger generation, it is the middle aged and above who tend to take a caravan on the road for their breaks.
The popularity of a caravan holiday is especially high now, with the current recession in the UK causing holidays abroad to be taken off the table for the time being. This is despite the unreliable British weather which has persuaded many to head off to warmer climes for their holiday in the past.
Despite the average age of a typical caravan enthusiast being in the mid 50s, it is the very young children who find it exciting as it provides a sense of adventure within a safe environment. It also allows them access to the great outdoors, something which is possibly missing if they are from a city environment.
Many people who were regular campers a while ago took a break with the advent of cheaper holidays abroad. Many of these are now, however, rediscovering the joys of the caravan as they get older.
If you are planning to take your own caravan with you on your holidays, as many people are; it is important to remember to buy caravan batteries before you leave. Whilst you may find somewhere nearby when you arrive which sells them, this is not always the case, especially if you are parking your caravan off the beaten track.
The battery is not important only for lighting and heating but with modern technology, there are many leisure battery uses, especially for the kids. This is important of course, as there is little worse than bored children that are trapped in an enclosed environment.
Provided that you prepare in advance though, a caravan should be great fun, both for the adults, and certainly for the children.
